Foundation Scotland has awarded us £55,000, providing financial support to our communities as we tackle climate change. This is part of a larger funding effort by Foundation Scotland, where £500,000 in total has been awarded to five Community Climate Action Hubs across Central Scotland; Fourth Valley, Glasgow, Edinburgh, East Dunbartonshire, and ourselves in Dundee.

The £55,000 will fund five network projects, with each project receiving £10,000:
Grow Dundee Network (30+ gardens and growers) will focus on climate friendly gardening and rewilding.
Dundee Play Forum (15+ organisations) will focus on outdoor play and a sustainable play festival.
Community Toolbox with Wellbeing Works will develop toolshares, partnerships, and libraries.
Nature Moves with Wildstrong will train people in nature movement to enable active travel and outdoor activity.
Plateful with Uppertunity and the Dundee Food Network will deliver sustainable sourcing and cooking classes.

The remaining £5,000 will fund a new role at Dundee Changemakers Hub. Aylish Kelly, our Community Communications Coordinator will dedicate one day per week to managing the fund, supporting project leads as they deliver the projects, and reporting to funders.
Keep an eye on our socials, or sign up for our newsletter for updates on the five network projects and follow along with their progress!
