After a bit of a delay we were given confirmation of our funding from Scottish Government which enabled us to get going with recruitment and plans for rest of the financial year! As one of their Climate Hubs, we sit alongside 23 other organisations doing great work across Scotland. The Climate Hubs now cover every inch of the country and we work collaboratively to positively impact climate change issues for the people of Scotland.
We submit our business case to the Scottish Government's Community Climate Action Team in January, with what we'd like to do along with a budget request. And then we wait! So we were delighted to eventually be awarded £163,000 to support community projects, events, communication and collaborations, and to cover the team costs to administer and manage everything.

This means more microgrants and bigger, better SOUP events for seed funding, networking opportunities, skillshares and workshops, membership development, community connectors, evaluation circles and the continuation of our Whitfield project.
We're putting together an events schedule for you right now! So keep your eyes peeled for that and lots of other opportunities to engage as the year unfolds.

We start with our first Dundee SOUP on 23 July - the first of four this year. We'll be covering all parts of the city, and this one focuses on Central Dundee which is Coldside and Maryfield, East, North and West to follow.
There's an opportunity to pitch for your idea or project, or just to come along and enjoy the evening. We hope to see you there and look forward to connecting with you in our projects and events this year!
