About the event

Following our December event, Rest as a Form of Social Justice, and the reflections and conversations that emerged from it, we return with a new workshop exploring the Politics of Rest in collaboration with Ravideep Kaur.

This workshop invites participants to critically reflect on how rest is political and shaped by wider social, political, and economic systems. Together, we will explore the oppressive structures that influence who is allowed to rest, who is denied rest, and how rest itself can become a political act of resistance and collective care.

Through discussion, reflection, and shared learning, the session aims to raise awareness of the oppressive systems at play when we begin to think about individual “rest,” while creating space for collective conversation and community connection and care.
