Transition Dundee

Transition Dundee is a community-led social enterprise which aims to make Dundee a healthier, happier and more sustainable place to live through various climate themed projects. Dundee West End Community Fridge which has now saved 1/4 million kgs of surplus food from going to waste, The Gleaning Project which collects excess produce from farms to redistribute around the city, a reuse and repair project now known as The Wardrobe and a busy programme of events and workshops to upskill our community and bring people together around all things sustainability.

ScrapAntics

ScrapAntics is a social enterprise with four core impacts of community, art, recycling and education. We create playful and artistic opportunities for members of the community who have least access to creative experiences.
ScrapAntics runs an educational programme in schools, supports a number of volunteers and offers a range of play sessions, events, workshops and creative community projects. We have now diverted over 100 tonnes of waste back into the community as resources for creative and play-based projects.

Uppertunity

Uppertunity is a Dundee based charity, working with individuals (16+) with learning disabilities, autism and mental health barriers. Since 2015, we have been working to help those in our community to feel more empowered, have increased self-worth and develop growth-focused mindsets. We create social change by demonstrating that everyone has strengths and skills to offer. Everything we do is underpinned by our aim to create environmentally sustainable communities through partnerships, creative waste reduction methods and educating people about their role in the world. We believe that everyone has a part to play in shaping and building our community.

The Maxwell

The Maxwell's community garden project was originally funded by the Climate Challenge Fund and our climate action is focused on delivering innovative and successful services for the environment and community wellbeing through holistic support services, youth work and our community garden outreach.
 
We empower local people to grow and share food, connect with their natural environment and people to live healthy and happy lives.
 
Action for climate and sustainability is embedded within all our activities.

Creative Dundee

Creative Dundee centres creative communities as powerful catalysts for collective good. We facilitate collaboration, nurture collective leadership and support people to imagine and act together to benefit our communities and place.
 
Through projects, events and our digital platforms, we equip artists, designers and makers with opportunities, tools and connections, enabling the growth of sustainable practices and ideas that will lead us to a more just world.
 
Creative Dundee is a community built by, with and for the local creative community.
